Pepephone is a Spanish telecommunications provider operating as a virtual mobile network operator. Part of the MÁSMÓVIL Group at the time of the project, it offered mobile services with coverage in Spain and internationally. The company places customers at the centre of its approach, with its website providing an important channel for presenting offers and supporting sales. Improving that digital experience was a priority as it sought to strengthen its position within the sector.

Pepephone wanted to modernise its monolithic online environment and deliver a stronger customer experience while improving conversion rates and offer management. Search visibility was another priority, but previous attempts to introduce single-page application technologies had created problems with SEO and analytics. The business needed an approach that combined responsive, efficient browsing with content that search engines could access and customer journeys that could be measured effectively. Resolving these competing requirements was central to the website transformation.

One Beyond carried out a comprehensive refactor of Pepephone’s responsive website using React, Next and styled components. We introduced server-generated content to address the search visibility and performance limitations of previous approaches, while retaining the single-page application experience. Our team also developed a React plugin that made it straightforward to customise SEO settings for individual pages. The resulting website delivered faster loading, reduced page size, improved SEO and analytics compatibility, and higher conversion rates.
