We have an exciting opportunity for a talented new Head of New Business to join our growing Sales Team.

We are looking for an ambitious and driven sales leader to join our commercial function to manage our New Business team.

What you’ll do:

As the Head of New Business at One Beyond, you will be:

  • Contributing to the commercial strategy and leadership of the business
  • Leading a team of Business Development Managers
  • Providing coaching and support to the new business team
  • Acting as a true player manager to achieve the new business target
  • Ensuring timely and appropriate responses to new business opportunities (inbound)
  • Nurturing relationships and seeking out new business opportunities (outbound)
  • Building strategic relationships with potential new accounts
  • Raising the profile of the organisation through your network and in relevant industry forums
  • Managing and seeking out new partnerships and alliances
  • Providing an industry viewpoint and contributing to brand building thought leadership
  • Providing commercial input to early-stage client engagements to shape delivery and drive discovery of requirements
  • Lead intelligent and informed conversations with clients around the One Beyond service offerings, and to showcase the value propositions that we can offer
  • Maintaining excellent CRM hygiene across the new business team
  • Developing prospective relationships through face-to-face meetings, client events and entertaining
  • Promoting the Company’s services and addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Execute a high-quality proposal preparation and bid response process
  • Assisting with legal negotiations and completion of client contracts
  • Providing trustworthy feedback internally and externally and advocating for the client whilst balancing business needs
  • Writing high quality proposals and coordinating the proposal process, following standard procedures including planning, review and production
  • Ensuring the business is part of the relevant framework agreements and monitoring for tenders and RFPs
  • Effectively communicate the status of the new business pipeline across the organisation
  • Provide an accurate and timely new business revenue forecast

Experience and Skills:

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • A proven track record in sales leadership
  • Demonstrable ability to build and nurture influential relationships at a senior level
  • Proven experience of consultative sales in a similar bespoke software or digital transformation consultancy
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to lead and develop a team of Business Development Managers
  • Exceptional attention to detail and CRM hygiene
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal and the production of high-quality proposals and presentations
  • Good understanding of the commercial aspects of the business and pricing models for professional services and bespoke software delivery

Location:

Candidates have the option to work in either our Central London or Farnborough office, with flexible/remote options.

Our London office is a 10-minute walk from Waterloo Station, and our Head Office in Farnborough is a 10-minute walk from Farnborough Main station and close to the town centre and local amenities. We also have a virtual Development Centre in Manchester.
