We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join our growing Commercial Team. You will work closely with the Marketing Team and the Chief Commercial Officer to drive new business acquisition and forging strong relationships with clients.

One Beyond creates large-scale software systems and products using teams of full-time software engineers and experts, and forms long-term relationships with its clients. As a BDM at One Beyond, you will have experience in selling “solutions” to clients in a consultative way, engaging with multiple experts in the business whilst credibly representing our skills and the business in the best possible light to win substantial contracts and engagements.

What You’ll Do:

As a Business Development Manager at One Beyond, you will have a good degree of autonomy to build and manage you own pipeline of leads and nurture prospective client relationships. There will be significant support provided through the marketing team with active campaigns and content to support business development activity.

Typical activities within the role include:

  • Responding to new business opportunities (inbound)
  • Seeking out new business opportunities (outbound)
  • Attending in person or virtual customer workshops to engage with clients, showcase our company, and understand their needs
  • Have intelligent and informed conversations with our clients about what One Beyond can offer, how we can solve their problems and pain points through software development, and to showcase the value proposition that we can offer
  • Monitoring and updating the CRM system with customer notes, following up and chasing down potential sales leads
  • Promoting the Company’s services and addressing or predicting clients’ objections
  • Assisting with the preparation of sales contracts
  • Providing trustworthy feedback internally and externally
  • Build long-term relationships with customers
  • Writing high quality proposals and coordinating the proposal process, following standard
    procedures including planning, review and production
  • Coordinating with Technical staff to develop, research, track and follow up on leads and gain
    realistic estimates
  • Coordinating with the Resource Team to understand what resources are available to commit
    to the engagements you are selling

Experience and Skills:

Candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Confidence in meeting and negotiating with people at different levels in organisations
  • Proven experience within a similar role in a consultative/bespoke business in the IT or
    software arena
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and similar tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of pricing structures and commercial models for software consultancy
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Self-starter who works excellently without supervision

Target and Commission:

An incentive plan will be agreed with the successful candidate offering commission up to 3%. The scheme at One Beyond is uncapped offering significant earning potential for a motivated and successful Business Development Manager.

Location:

This is a remote first role.

Candidates will be expected to undertake occasional travel to meet with clients and colleagues.
