A lot can change in 30 years. Wet Wet Wet’s ‘Love is All Around’ was at the top of the UK charts, Four Weddings and a Funeral was the number one film at the UK box office, and One Beyond was at the beginning of its journey to becoming the company it is today. On the 3rd of June 1994, Direct Communications Software Ltd. was registered with Companies House.

Since the inception of DCSL, hundreds of people have worked on exciting and ground-breaking projects, spanning countless businesses from almost every industry imaginable. From start-ups and public sector organisations to multinational enterprises, the range of clients to have benefitted from One Beyond’s services over the past 30 years is a testament to the ambition of both the clients and One Beyond itself.

Recent international acquisitions – GuideSmiths in 2021 and JayStack in 2022 – have solidified One Beyond’s strong position in the European market, as has the expertise and appetite for success of private equity backers Queen’s Park Equity (QPE), who invested in the business in 2020. A total rebranding followed in 2022, with the company moving on from the DCSL name that had served so well for over 28 years and evolving into the One Beyond we know today.

Commenting on this impressive landmark, Don Grantham, Executive Chairman of One Beyond, said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be Chairman of One Beyond as we celebrate our 30th birthday. I thank our clients, employees, partners and investors, past and present, for wonderful engagement, support and commitment over the past three decades. We look forward to an exciting future and continuing to work to ‘Accelerate the digital future’!”

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the journey One Beyond has taken over the last three decades, it wouldn’t have been possible without you, and we look forward to many more years of innovation and success.
